MOROCCO: LEISURE AT THE JOINT OF AFRICA AND EUROPE
Morocco is an incredibly beautiful country located in the north of the African continent, but not part of the African Union. It has everything for a luxurious holiday full of impressions: the Sahara desert, the gentle waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean, a rich excursion program and many attractions. Much can be said about Morocco, and if it is short, this is modern Africa. What is special about this country, what to see here and how to spend your vacation, read our new article!
The most famous resort – Agadir – is located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. This place attracts travelers with magnificent beaches with golden sand and amazing conditions for fishing and surfing. By the way, this is where the best beach on the entire Atlantic coast of Morocco is 6 km long!
In addition to a beach holiday, you can visit the many local bars, discos and restaurants, ride horses or play golf. However, in Agadir go not only for this. It is also a modern city with clean streets and friendly residents. This place is not at all like another Africa – it can easily be confused with a cozy European resort city: they dress here mainly in European style, and women do not hide their faces. If you want an exotic beach holiday, feel free to choose Agadir!
Another famous Moroccan city – Casablanca – is the economic capital of the country. This is a business center, which concentrates a lot of skyscrapers and the incredible beauty and size of the Hassan II mosque, which can hold 25 thousand people at a time! And the famous airport named after Mohammed V is not only the largest in the country, but is also considered a monument of modern architecture. Casablanca is a city of modern technologies and avant-garde: they mostly come here for new impressions. Here, the ultramodern suburbs contrast vividly with the traditional Arabic flavor reigning in the old city center. Be sure to visit the Hassan II mosque – the calling card of Morocco, the Habbus commercial district, the palace of Mahakma do Pasha.
Include in the excursion program also Meknes – “the city of a hundred minarets”, “Moroccan Versailles”, Marrakesh – a huge tourist attraction, Fez – “African Athens”, Essaouira – the perfect place for surfing, El Jadida – “African Europe”, Rabat – a city of palaces, museums and stunning landscapes and the waterfall “Veil of Lovers” – one of the most famous natural attractions of Morocco.

Like everything else in Morocco, the food here has absorbed African and European traditions. Perhaps that is why Moroccan cuisine is considered one of the most diverse. Most of the dishes here are cooked on the basis of seafood, meat, vegetables, local spices, and in one dish can be present at the same time, sweet, and salty, and sharp notes. The most common among travelers here are kebabs from chicken meat, beef, lamb, camel meat, tagine, something resembling goulash with prunes and olives, couscous. Having been here, it is impossible to leave and not try Moroccan pastille – a traditional local dish that is prepared from many layers of pigeon meat, boiled eggs and thin layers of Moroccan ouarka dough, sprinkled with powdered sugar and sometimes cinnamon.
